Description

Public and Environmental Health professionals are challenged daily to enforce laws and rules that protect the health and safety of North Carolinians. The Environmental Health Law course provides knowledge and skills needed to successfully understand and apply North Carolina’s public health laws and rules. A key goal of the course is to increase confidence in the field and in the office for a better, safer North Carolina.

State statutes require North Carolina Environmental Health Specialists to complete this course within the first four years of the date of the most recent registration by the REHS board. This course will satisfy the requirement for an environmental health law course based on North Carolina laws and rules with at least 15 contact hours approved by the Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) Board.
